The ReadJaVu check

Have I read this?

That flicker of déjà vu in a bookshop, answered before you reach the till. Scan the barcode, snap the cover or a spine, or type the title. ReadJaVu matches the work, not just the edition, so new covers, translations and UK/US titles all count.

What it remembers for you

What ReadJaVu does

  • The ReadJaVu check: “Have I read this?”

One of four calm answers, your own words from last time, and a quiet note if you've skipped a book in a series: “You've read 1–3. This is 5. You skipped 4.” It works offline, in a shop with no signal, and keeps a running “Saved you $” total.

    Free

  • One Lens

A single camera button for barcodes, covers, spines and screenshots. With Shelf Sweep, one photo of a bookcase adds twenty books or more. Typing and voice work too.

  • The Closing Page

A sixty-second ritual when you finish: one feeling word, a rating, a line about where you were in life. It becomes the Memory Card you'll see next time.

    Free

  • Echoes

“Three years ago today you finished Pachinko and wrote…” Your own lines come back to you, gently, at the right moment.

Weekly free · daily with Plus

  • “What was that book?”

Ask the way you'd ask a friend: “the one about the lighthouse keeper's daughter, read on holiday.” It searches your library and your notes.

    Plus
“Wait… haven't I read this before?” ReadJaVu remembers for you.
